EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police have identitied a 28-year-old woman as the suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a 77-year-old woman last month in South-Central El Paso.
Police confirmed to KTSM that Melanie Christine Cuellar is wanted in connection with a July 19 crash that killed mother and grandmother, Maria Lopez.

Cuellar was featured in this past weekend’s “Most Wanted,” but was not formally connected to that crash in that weekly feature.

Police said Maria Lopez was crossing the 6800 block of Alameda in South-Central. She was struck by a light-colored SUV that was traveling west on Alameda.
