EL PASO — The Department of Justice said that a Fort Bliss soldier has been arrested and charged with espionage and export violations to Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
The active-duty soldier was arrested Wednesday in El Paso on criminal charges of attempted transmission of national defense information to a foreign adversary and attempted export of controlled technical data without a license, the DOJ said.
According to court documents, Taylor Adam Lee, 22, holds a Top Secret (TS)/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
