The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a parolee accused of assault in East El Paso County. According to the official social media post from El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, the incident unfolded on Sunday evening, when deputies responded to an emergency call in the 100 block of Nonap. The post detailed that on their arrival, deputies encountered the victim of a physical assault.
The alleged assailant, identified as 20-year-old Carlos Salinas III, is not unfamiliar with the judicial system, having been on parole for a previous murder conviction.
