EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) is investigating what they called a murder-suicide after a man and a woman were found dead on Tuesday, Aug. 26, in an East El Paso home.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a house on the 11800 block of Chelita Drive about a welfare check.
Officers found Jose Urieta, 58, dead in the home with a gunshot wound to his head. The victim, Lourdes Urieta, 58, was also found to be dead in the home with injuries, according to EPPD.
Crimes Against Persons detectives were called to investigate, and the preliminary examination of the scene indicates that Jose Urieta shot Lourdes Urieta and subsequently shot himself…
