El Paso County Man Charged with Aggravated Assault After Standoff with SWAT Ends in Surrender

El Paso County witnessed a tense standoff this past weekend when a man barricaded himself inside his house after allegedly committing an aggravated assault. According to a social media post by El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, the incident took place on the 14000 block of Loera, where deputies found two individuals with gunshot wounds, prompting an immediate dispatch of the county’s SWAT and crisis negotiation teams.

Both victims, discovered upon the deputies’ arrival around 8:05 p.m. Saturday, they were quickly transported to local hospitals to undergo emergency treatment.
