EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office used a chemical agent to get an armed suspect out of a residence during a standoff on Wednesday, Sept. 10, in East El Paso County.
Shortly after 6 p.m. on Sept. 10, deputies were dispatched to a family violence call along the 600 block of Endwall Street. The caller, the suspect’s mother, told deputies that her son, Edward Moore, 37, had assaulted her and was possibly armed with a shotgun, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies learned that Moore had an active protective order and two outstanding criminal warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
According to EPCSO, patrol deputies quickly arrived, established a perimeter and attempted to make contact with Moore, who refused to surrender. Then, the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and Hostage Negotiators were called to the scene…
