El Paso County is preparing to celebrate a milestone in law enforcement training with the graduation of Basic Peace Officer Academy Class 25-01, dubbed “Achaeans.” According to a social media post from El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, the graduation marks the launch of a new era under his administration, with a renewed focus on crisis intervention.

The graduating class comprises 10 new deputies headed to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and 2 new officers joining the Horizon City Police Department.
