El Paso to dry out before return of rain chances

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Happy Saturday, Borderland! It was a wet start to the weekend with rain showers and late-night storms hitting a good portion of El Paso and Las Cruces through the evening into the overnight hours.

Looking at the rest of Saturday, the chance to see severe storms after 4 p.m. through midnight remain as moisture and an unstable atmosphere persist. The low will be near 69 with winds coming from the west around 10-15 mph. Gusts can be even stronger once storms enter the system and the chance to see hail remains a threat.

For Sunday, conditions stabilize with mostly sunny skies and a high near average around 90. Winds will be light, and the low will be around 66…
