El Paso’s military chief resigns amid domestic violence charges, cites health concerns

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The chief military officer for the City of El Paso, who was arrested on domestic violence charges, said he’s stepping down from his role to focus on his health.

According to his resignation letter, Paul Albright wrote that his decision was difficult to make, but he ultimately decided to resign to “prioritize my health and recovery.”

The letter, which is redacted, also references Albright’s stint in the US Army, describing his time as “three decades of combat and hazardous duty service.”
