El Paso Community College (EPCC) recently hosted its third annual Professor Recognition celebration, distinguishing thirteen faculty members with the title of Full Professor. According to EPCC News, the esteemed rank is an acknowledgment of tenure and a minimum of five years of post-tenure service at the college, signifying notable professional achievements and contributions to the institution.
The recognition event held on September 25th included a luncheon hosted by EPCC President Dr. William Serrata and Vice President of Instruction and Workforce Education Dr. Steve Smith. The ceremony was attended by deans, EPCC Trustees, and Cabinet members, who collectively honored these educators’ dedication to their students and the college’s advancement. Dr. Smith was quoted, saying, “This is a significant milestone for faculty. Reaching the rank of Full Professor demonstrates extraordinary contributions to their students and EPCC,” as per EPCC News.
