EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso County has reached a settlement with Assistant District Attorney John Briggs, who claimed he was wrongfully terminated by the district attorney’s office in 2022.
According to court documents, Briggs will receive $75,000, 320 hours of vacation time, just over $15,000 into his retirement fund, and the return of sick days lost at the time of his termination, not exceeding the county’s 720 sick day limit.
