El Paso businesses brace for impact amid government shutdown ripple effects

EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — Two business owners near Fort Bliss are feeling the strain as the government shutdown continues, with both reporting that over 90% of their clientele are military personnel.

William Unset, manager of Aloha Sunspa, expressed concern about the financial impact on his business, which offers red light therapy and tanning services.

“Well, you always gotta be concerned…When there’s a shutdown, you know, I wouldn’t assume the military makes so much money, but a lot of them are younger, and they live check to check, and they have families and stuff,” Unset said…
