Avoid these homes while trick-or-treating: El Paso Sheriff’s office shares safety map

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is reminding families to take precautions and be aware of which homes to avoid while trick-or-treating this Halloween.

The Sheriff’s Office says families are encouraged to check the Texas Sex Offender Registry and download the free OffenderWatch Family Safety App to help plan safe routes before Halloween.

There are approximately 2,100 registered sex offenders in El Paso, and they are required by law to report their home addresses to law enforcement, according to the Sheriff’s Office…
