El Paso has been waiting for this and I know that we are totally ready to turn the volume up because our city is finally getting the kind of concert venue we’ve always dreamed of. The brand-new Sunset Amphitheater is officially breaking ground this November in Northeast El Paso, and locals already can’t stop talking about who should play there first.
For years, we’ve had to drive to Albuquerque, Phoenix, or even Austin just to catch some of the biggest tours. But not anymore, this time, El Paso’s getting a front-row seat to the action. And with the Franklin Mountains as a backdrop? You just know those sunset shows are going to be pure magic.
Everything We Know About the Sunset Amphitheater
The Sunset Amphitheater will officially break ground on November 19, 2025 in the Cohen Entertainment District, which I think is the perfect spot to anchor El Paso’s growing live-entertainment scene.
Once finished, the amphitheater will seat 12,500 fans and feature a multi-season design so concerts won’t just be a summertime thing. The project is being developed by VENU Holding Corporation through a public-private partnership with the City of El Paso, backed by a $31.5 million performance-based incentive package.
