EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso city leaders received an update during Monday’s City Council work session, where officials presented the city’s updated five-year Capital Improvement Plan for grant-funded projects. The plan details infrastructure and transportation improvements scheduled through 2030.
In Northeast El Paso, crews are already working on a project to extend Sean Haggerty Drive from Nathan Bay Drive to Dyer Street. The $34 million project includes a new four-lane bridge, bike lanes, sidewalks and a drainage system.
According to city officials, $23 million of the cost comes from the TxDOT and federal funds, with nearly $7 million from the City of El Paso and about $4 million from El Paso Water. The project broke ground in September and is expected to be completed by spring 2027…
