Woman arrested at New Mexico border for attempting to smuggle fentanyl in car

SANTA TERESA, NEW MEXICO (KFOX14/CBS4) — A woman was arrested at the New Mexico border crossing over the weekend after a routine inspection found she was attempting to smuggle fentanyl.

According to a criminal complaint affidavit obtained by KFOX14/CBS4 on Monday, authorities at the Santa Teresa Port of Entry in New Mexico discovered on Saturday that Daniela Paola Valles, a U.S. citizen, was participating in a fentanyl smuggling operation.
