‘Lookout’ in County jail murder pleads guilty, gets 10 years

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — An El Paso man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his role in the beating death of a fellow inmate at the El Paso County Jail Annex nearly two years ago, the El Paso District Attorney’s Office said.

Cristian Carrillo, 27, pleaded guilty to murder on Tuesday, Nov. 4 in connection with the beating death of Jesus Torres, 57, the DA’s Office said.

Carrillo was one of six inmates initially charged in Torres’ death.
