El Paso police are asking for the public’s help after a 53-year-old man found with a severe head injury outside a downtown Jack in the Box died, authorities said. Officers identified the victim as Pedro Garcia.
As reported by KFOX, police responded on Oct. 15 to the Jack in the Box at 5519 Alameda following calls that initially suggested a possible shooting. Officers found Garcia unconscious with a serious head wound, and investigators later determined he had been struck in the head with an object rather than shot.
Detectives say Garcia was transported to a hospital after the Oct. 15 attack and remained under care until hospital staff notified police that he had died on Nov. 6, according to KVIA. Police describe the case as an active homicide investigation and say they continue to follow leads…
