The El Paso Independent School District has been bustling with activity and engagement, as outlined in a recent update from interim superintendent Martha Aguirre. Following a phase of community feedback for the superintendent search, Aguirre highlighted, “Families, staff, students, and community members shared their voices through in-person meetings and an online questionnaire,” as per El Paso ISD. These efforts have culminated in a Leadership Profile Report that will help guide the search for a candidate who aligns with the district’s vision and needs.
In the realm of arts and sports, El Paso ISD’s students have distinguished themselves with notable achievements. Most recently, the district’s marching bands showcased their talent with impressive results in competitions across Texas and New Mexico. “Congratulations to Andress, Coronado, El Paso, Franklin, and Irvin High Schools for advancing to the UIL Area Marching Competition,” Aguirre said, as obtained by El Paso ISD.
