El Paso man arrested in gas station killing allegedly stabbed victim more than 20 times

A El Paso man killed inside a South-Central El Paso convenience store was stabbed more than 20 times in an attack that lasted about a minute, court documents state.

Manuel Ivan Gutierrez, 30, of El Paso, allegedly fatally stabbed Juan Francisco Gomez, 44, between 20 to 25 times during an altercation on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the DK convenience store at 5600 Alameda Ave. next to Buena Vista Street near the Fox Plaza area, a criminal complaint affidavit states.
