EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – U.S. bishops are moving forward with looking into the possible beatification and canonization of the Rev. Richard M. Thomas, a priest who had long-time ties to the El Paso area.
During their November Plenary Assembly, the bishops voted 206 votes in favor, four votes against and with one abstention to advance the cause of beatification and canonization on the diocesan level.
The bishops cited this incident in moving his candidacy for possible sainthood forward.
