EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso City Council is scheduled to review Texas Gas Service’s proposal to raise residential gas rates by 27 percent during its work session Monday morning.
The meeting follows a week of community meetings held across the city, where residents shared concerns about affordability and how the proposed increase could affect them.
According to Texas Gas Service, the proposed increase would raise the average residential bill by about $10 to $14 per month.
