El Paso Father Charged with Child Endangerment After Kids Found Unattended in Vehicle

An incident in El Paso, Texas, led to the arrest of a father after his three children were found unattended in a vehicle. According to a social media post by El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, deputies responded to a welfare check at the Pull-A-Part junkyard on Friday, where they discovered three young children, aged 9, 5, and 4, who had been left in a vehicle for around an hour and a half.

Their father, 30-year-old Angel Villagrana Gutierrez, was arrested and charged with three counts of Abandon/Endanger Child with w/Intent to Return, the sheriff’s office reported, Gutierrez was subsequently booked at the El Paso County Detention Facility, and his bond was set at $30,000, the plight of these children has shed light on the need for increased awareness regarding child welfare and the dangers of leaving minors unattended in vehicles…
