The Horizon City Police Department recently responded to a domestic disturbance that led to an arrest on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The incident, which unraveled in the 600th block of Desert Sage, was initially reported as a family conflict where a member was threatened with a knife.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that a household member had indeed been threatened, and the suspect was still at large. The subject, identified as Magana, was found nearby and promptly detained by law enforcement. According to the Horizon City Police Department, Magana was “transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility and booked on a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.”
The incident directed attention to the underlying issues of domestic conflicts and the resources available to those caught in such turmoil.
