Public meeting set for Marathon’s El Paso oil refinery air permit

Two years after Marathon Petroleum Corp. filed for a 10-year renewal of the major Texas air-pollution permit for its El Paso oil refinery, the Texas environmental agency has finally set a date for a public meeting on the matter.

The public meeting, part of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) public comment process, is scheduled for Jan. 8, at 7 p.m., at Riverside High School, 301 Midway Dr., in El Paso’s Lower Valley.
