JUÁREZ, Mexico — A new eye is set to open over the Borderland.
The Sentinel Tower is nearing completion, as the protective coverings are slowly coming off, exposing a sleek glass structure that marks the skyline of Juárez. The security tower is set to be a state-of-the-art nerve center for all public safety operations in the Mexican state of Chihuahua and along the border.
Chihuahua state Public Safety Secretary Gilberto Loya took the El Paso Times on a tour of the looming tower.
