Group protests conditions at Fort Bliss migrant center

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A group calling itself “Indivisible the 915” held a silent protest on Saturday, Dec. 13 to highlight what they and others are calling the horrendous conditions at Camp East Montana, the migrant facility at Fort Bliss.

The group held its protest on a pathway in front of the El Paso Field Office for ICE here in El Paso and within view of the Fort Bliss migrant camp and its white tents.

“The purpose of this vigil is to protest the horrific and inhumane conditions in the Camp and to bring attention to the unlawful, abusive, and unconstitutional conduct of government officers towards the detainees, that now number approximately 2,700, both men and women,” the group said in its news release.
