When Stephanie Han returned to the boxing ring in competitive fashion in October 2021 after a decade away from the sport, nobody knew how her career would go.
The accomplishments of Han have been nothing short of amazing. The mother of two and an El Paso police officer, Han is 11-0, won the World Boxing Association lightweight title on her home turf in February and defended her title in August.
Now the 35-year-old-Han faces her biggest challenge against Albuquerque, New Mexico’s Holly Holm as she defends her lightweight title in a 10-round fight in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Holm, 44, is a decorated boxer and UFC champion. She was a boxer until 2013, shifted to MMA after that, and then returned to boxing in June of this year.
