‘La Chely’ sentenced to 50 years in Mexican prison

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A notorious woman gang leader known for her brutality and wanted for at least five homicides in Ciudad Juarez was sentenced earlier this month by a Chihuahuan state judge to 50 years in a Mexican prison.

Michelle Angelica Pineda, aka “La Chely,” received her sentence on Dec. 27, FBI El Paso said.

Pineda was known for her extreme brutality such as dismembering bodies, removing hearts, and placing the hearts in front of “Santa Muerte” altars and statutes…
