What started as a small act of generosity outside an Upper Valley barber shop in El Paso ended with squad cars, a struggle on the sidewalk, and a video that blew up online. Footage posted by the barber shows him offering a man snacks, water, and cash, then giving him a free haircut before the encounter spirals into a confrontation and an arrest.
Video Shows Kind Gesture Before Tense Confrontation
In the clip, the barber approaches a man sitting near the shop entrance, hands him money, and offers potato chips and water. He then brings him inside for a free cut. Later, the video shows the same man at the door, knocking and shouting while the barber locks up the shop.
Moments after that, officers arrive. The video captures two of them wrestling the man to the ground outside the business. One appears to have used a stun device during the arrest, according to KTSM 9 News.
