VIDEO: El Paso Traffic Stop Escalates: Two Arrested Facing Drug Manufacturing and Delivery Charges

A routine traffic stop by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office on New Year’s Eve turned into a significant narcotics bust, leading to the arrest of two individuals now facing multiple drug charges. According to a social media post from El Paso County Sheriff Oscar Ugarte, deputies initially pulled over a gray Dodge Challenger for a vehicle registration violation at around 10:15 p.m.

The situation escalated when the driver, later identified as 34-year-old Gabriel Guzman, attempted to evade the deputies by fleeing on foot. After being apprehended, Guzman ingested a bag containing an unknown, white powdery substance. Further investigation of the vehicle uncovered multiple bags of suspected narcotics. With the passenger, 29-year-old Ashley Garcia, also being taken into custody, both parties now face serious drug charges amounting to several counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance in various degrees…
