Nationwide recruitment campaign boosts ICE manpower by 120%, adds over 12K new officers

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced in a press release an increase in its workforce, due to a nationwide recruitment campaign that has brought in more than 12,000 new officers and agents in less than a year.

This surge has resulted in a 120% increase in ICE’s manpower, doubling its numbers from 10,000 to 22,000, according to DHS officials.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin highlighted the impact of the recruitment drive, stating, “The good news is that thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill that President Trump signed, we have an additional 12,000 ICE officers and agents on the ground across the country.”…
