City OKs 2nd phase of construction at Beast Urban Park

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso City Council approved on Tuesday, Jan. 6 the next major expansion of Beast Urban Park in far East El Paso.

The park, located at 13501 Jason Crandall Dr., now moves into Phase II of constructdion.

Tuesday, the City Council awarded an approximately $11.7 million construction contract to Gracen Engineering & Construction, Inc.

Phase II will expand the park by approximately 650,000 square feet, adding new athletic spaces, shade, and on-site amenities that increase access to recreation and support a stronger quality of life for residents of all ages, the City said…
