An El Paso man accused of drunk driving and causing a fiery, rollover crash that knocked down an I-10 overhead traffic sign allegedly tried to blame his wife, who wasn’t at the scene, for the wreck.
An El Paso Police Department officer wrote in a complaint affidavit that officers “strongly believe” Andres Rubio, 31, was driving while intoxicated while driving at a high rate of speed at 8:12 p.m. on Dec. 21 on Interstate 10 East near Geronimo and Paisano drives.
