Jurors reach not guilty verdict in decades‑old El Paso capital murder case

Relatives were left in shock after the man accused of fatally stabbing three of their family members was found not guilty more than 30 years after the triple murder.

“Shocking,” said Federico Villa, the brother of Concepcion “Connie” Villa. “I sat through the whole thing. I have served on juries before. It is shocking. Shocking that (it was) unanimous (among the) 12 jurors. There was physical, forensic evidence. DNA, fingerprints, expert testimony. It is shocking.”
