PHOTOS: From Rain to Snowmen: El Paso’s Winter Storm Recap

El Pasoans are still defrosting from this past weekend’s winter storm winter weekend that legit turned the borderland into something straight out of a holiday movie.

El Paso headed into the weekend with chilly temperatures and steady rain, setting the stage for what was to come. By late Saturday night and into early Sunday morning, colder air moved in, allowing rain to transition into snow across parts of El Paso. My favorite part about snow days in El Paso is seeing the ways El Pasoans and their families spend the day. Social media quickly filled with photos and videos of snow-covered neighborhoods, kids sledding down front-yard hills, and neighbors teaming up for snowball fights. My own parents even built a mini snowman in their backyard.
