I love supporting local whenever I can. Whether it’s a small business, a neighborhood spot, or anything with strong Texas roots; it just feels better knowing your dollars are staying close to home. And apparently, even when I’m grabbing a cake from a big-name bakery here in El Paso, I’m still supporting local- at least on a Texas-sized scale.
That’s because a Texas-based bakery chain has officially been named America’s No. 1 restaurant chain, and yes, it’s headquartered right here in the Lone Star State!
Texas Takes the Top Spot Yet Again
According to a new survey conducted by Technomic and Nation’s Restaurant News, Nothing Bundt Cakes, now based in Dallas, was ranked the top restaurant chain in the entire United States. Not only did it take the No. 1 spot overall, but it also earned top honors in categories like service and hospitality, food and beverage, unit appearance, ambiance, convenience, and takeout.

We all certainly have a sweet tooth because this marks the second year in a row the bakery chain has claimed the top position.
