EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Francisca also known as Kika, the founder of Good Coffee and owner of Kika’s Kitchen, has been in the restaurant industry in El Paso for over 40 years.
Kika says she started in 1989 with only $20 to her name, and began selling tortas, burritos, and tacos in a small restaurant in Central El Paso that eventually became the first Good Coffee.
Since then, her and her children have dominated El Paso with several Good Coffee restaurants around the city.
Now, Kika says she owns Kika’s Kitchen, her oldest daughter owns the Good Coffee on Piedras, and her son Arnold owns La Michoacána de Maria in East El Paso. The other two Good Coffee locations that are still standing in El Paso are owned by a family friend…
