A famous US Army General who led troops in multiple conflicts, including WW I, and chased Pancho Villa all over Mexico may have made Fort Bliss his final post.
US Army General John “Black Jack” Pershing is the only “active duty” 6 star General in history. He fought in the Indian Wars, the Spanish-American War, the Philippines, the Mexican Intervention, and WW I.
While handling the “Mexican Intervention”, General Pershing lived on Fort Bliss and his former home still stands. Which is cool since, it seems, he may still live there. Something does anyway ……
