El Paso man gets 15 years in prison in wreck where man burned to death

An El Paso man was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to causing a drunk driving crash that left a 93-year-old man trapped in a car and burned to death, court records show.

Alberto Anahotzin Gonzalez, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of intoxication manslaughter with a vehicle and was sentenced to 15 years in prison as part of a plea agreement. Judge William Moody of the 34th District Court presided over the plea and sentencing hearing on Jan. 29 at the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse in Downtown El Paso.
