EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A new policy approved by the University of Texas System Board of Regents is limiting classroom discussion of certain “controversial topics” across the UT System, but the rule does not define what topics fall under that label.
According to a two-page document attached to the regents’ meeting agenda, a student taking classes in the UT System should be able to “meet the general education requirements without a requirement to study unnecessary controversial subjects.”
