EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A mother who drove with her child and crashed into two parked vehicles admits to drinking four beers after failing multiple field sobriety tests, according to court documents obtained by KTSM.
As we previously reported, 36-year-old Jennifer Vivar was arrested and is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age. She was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $10,000 bond.
Just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 13400 block of Cameldale Drive in reference to a motor vehicle crash. When officers arrived, they made contact with the driver, later identified as Vivar.
Vivar told deputies that she was heading home when she “fell asleep.” She stated that she lives down the street and had not slept. She also told deputies that she had “closed her eyes” without thinking about it, according to court documents…
