UMC El Paso turns blue for Dress In Blue Day

The University Medical Center of El Paso’s Digestive Health Center turned blue today to mark Dress In Blue Day, raising awareness for colorectal cancer. The event highlights the importance of early detection, as more cases are being seen in people in their 30s and 40s.

Health experts recommend screening starting at age 45, or earlier for those with a family history of colon cancer. The UMC Digestive Health Center, staffed by Texas Tech Physicians of El Paso and UMC specialists, is recognized as a Center of Excellence for functional gastrointestinal disorders and serves as a regional referral center for advanced endoscopic procedures…
