Animal Services wants pet owners to update microchip info during ‘Straylight Savings’

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — In conjunction with the time change, El Paso Animal Services is asking pet owners in the Borderland community to take part in “Straylight Savings,” an initiative aimed at bringing awareness to updating your pet’s microchip contact information.

Just as daylight saving time serves as a reminder to check smoke detector batteries, the annual “Straylight Savings” initiative urges pet owners to ensure their pets are microchipped and that their registration details are up to date, Animal Services said.
