Mexican navy seizes 2 tons of cocaine at sea

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Mexico’s navy (SEMAR) has seized 2 tons of cocaine 200 south-southeast of Acapulco.

Two patrol vessels found the drugs in waterproof wrapping floating in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

“Having received intelligence and utilizing support aircraft, naval officers in a patrol ship and a smaller vessel located and secured bundles with (cocaine) with an approximate weight of 2 tons,” SEMAR said in a statement on Monday…
