SUNLAND PARK, N.M (KFOX14/CBS4) — Camino Real Regional Utility Authority, the water provider for Sunland Park and Santa Teresa, has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for residents in the Casas Lindas subdivision and surrounding areas.
According to CRRUA, the boil water advisory was initially issued on Friday at 2 p.m. and is part of CRRUA’s new Proactive Safety Protocol, as it requires a precautionary boil water advisory whenever a system is depressurized for large-scale repairs.
While it is unclear when the boil water advisory will be lifted, the utility said no contamination has been detected and that the advisory will remain in effect until laboratory results confirm the water meets all NMED safety and quality standards…
