A 15-year-old girl died after the vehicle she was riding in was hit from behind by another car that was being driven at a high rate of speed on I-10 in East El Paso, authorities said.
Sophia Elize Ramirez, 15, of El Paso, was riding as a passenger in a 2017 Ford Escape about 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, on Interstate 10 East near the Lee Trevino Drive when a 2022 Ford Mustang crashed into the back of the Escape, El Paso Police Department spokesman Officer Adrian Cisneros said in a news release.
