HPU personnel and students serve Brown County and El Paso during Community Impact Day

Howard Payne University students and personnel participated in the fifth annual William B. Dean, M.D. Community Impact Day and Lecture Series on Wednesday, March 25.

More than 500 volunteers served at 30 site locations across Brown County and El Paso. Service activities in Brown County included painting, cleaning, yardwork and visiting with nursing home residents. HPU’s El Paso campus partnered with Crosspoint Church by providing 10 boxes for their food pantry and painting their lobby.

“It is such a joy to partner in what God is doing with our local communities,” said Dr. Cory Hines, university president. “We would like to thank Harbor Freight for providing gloves and five-gallon buckets and United Supermarkets for providing cases of water for the event.”…
