DOJ decides no death penalty for Fort Bliss soldier accused of spying for Russia

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A U.S. Army soldier stationed at Fort Bliss, Taylor Adam Lee, who is accused of attempting to send classified information to the Russian government.

Lee allegedly attempted to provide sensitive information about the U.S. M1A2 Abrams tank to a Russian intelligence officer.

The Department of Justice has decided not to seek the death penalty against Lee, who was arrested last August for the espionage and export violations.
