EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 35-year-old man is being held without bond for several charges, including attempted murder, after stabbing an EMT in February, according to the Sixth Judicial District Attorney’s Office in New Mexico.
Kel Justin Avena is being held without bond for the following charges: attempted murder in the first degree, aggravated battery upon a healthcare worker in the third degree and two counts of tampering with evidence in the fourth degree.
